Add your things

One photo per thing, a name if you like, the room, and how many. Then Done adding.

Last updated October 13, 2026

Take one photo of each thing you’re passing on. A name is optional: the photo says the rest.

Tap Add at the bottom of the screen. In a browser, tap Take a photo and your camera opens.

In the iPhone app, the camera opens by itself. Take the photo, and the form below shows with your photo in it.

Take one photo of each thing, close enough to recognize it. If it isn’t right, tap Take it again.

Step 3: Say a little about it, if you like

Section titled “Step 3: Say a little about it, if you like”

Under What it is, type a name, or leave it empty.

Under How many?, tap + when there is more than one, like 6 chairs. Then tap the room it is in, and when someone can take it: Available now or Available later.

Tap Save and next. It saves the thing, and the camera opens again for the next one.

When you’ve finished, tap Done adding. It saves the photo you’re holding and takes you back to Home.

Photos keep going up after you leave. If one doesn’t, Home says so, with Try again.

Tap Choose from your photos and pick several at once. Each one comes up in turn, to name or not.

At a desk, Add takes up to 50 photos at a time. Drop them in, choose the room and when they can be taken for all of them, name any you like, and add them in one go.
