Send the family the link

The family link is one link for everyone. Send it to your family’s group chat, or in a text.

Step 1: Send one link to the family

On Home, tap Send the family the link. Your phone’s share menu opens with a message ready. Choose your family’s group chat, or a text, and send it.

Whoever taps the link types their name and email, gets a code, and is in. You never have to collect anyone’s email address.

On a computer

The browser’s own share menu opens where it has one. Where it doesn’t, the message is copied instead: paste it into the chat.

The link works for 14 days. Sending it to someone who has already joined is fine.

Step 2: Find the link again, any time

On Home, tap Family and helpers and scroll down to The family link. It shows the message. On a phone, Share opens the share menu. Copy message copies it to paste anywhere.

Under Change this link you can turn the link off, or make a new one. A new link stops the old one at once.

Add someone by email

For anyone who isn’t in the group chat:

1. On Home, tap Family and helpers. Until someone from the family (not a helper) has joined, the form Add someone by email is already open there. After that, tap Add someone to open it.
2. Type their name and email, tap Family or Helper, then tap Add them and send their invitation.

They get an email with a code, and they’re in. No password, nothing to install.
