House settings

House settings are the house’s own: how long the family has, its name, and how people hear what you decide.

Step 1: Open House settings

On Home, tap House settings.

Step 2: Set the time to answer, and the rest

• Time to answer is how long the family gets for each new thing: 3 days, a week, 2 weeks, or another number of days from 1 to 60. If some things are already open, we ask whether to change those too.
• House name changes the name everyone sees.
• Share decisions when I’m ready is how the family hears. On, they hear nothing until you share. Off, each person is told as soon as something is decided for them. See Telling the family.
• Groups puts people together, like Sisters or Grandkids, so the app can choose fairly among just them.
• Leave Tags for now: printed tags need our Mac app, which isn’t ready to download yet.
