Telling the family

The family hears what you decide in one of two ways: as you go, or all at once when you share.

Step 1: Choose how people hear, the first time

The first time anyone decides something, we ask once for the house: Tell people as you go, or all at once at the end?

All at once at the end is chosen to begin with: you decide in private, and nobody is told until you share. Tell people as you go tells each person as soon as something is decided for them. Tap Continue.

It is asked once for the whole house, of whoever decides first. You can change it any time in House settings, under Share decisions when I’m ready.

Step 2: Decide, as drafts

If your house tells people all at once, each decision says Draft · not shared yet until you share.

Step 3: Review and share

When you’re ready, tap Review and share on Home. Before you share lists everything, person by person. Change a thing saved for someone with Give it to someone else, or take any decision back with Undo.

If someone changed an answer after you decided, it says so here, so you can check it again.

Step 4: Share them

Tap the share button, like Share 4 decisions. We ask once more, and say who gets how many. Tap Share, or Not yet to wait.

Everyone hears once, in one message each.
