Home's next step

Home shows one card with the most useful thing to do now. What each card means, in the order Home chooses them.

Last updated October 13, 2026

Home always shows one card with the most useful thing to do now, and one big button. Home shows the first card on this page that applies.

Your house is empty. Tap Add your first thing to start photographing.

Your things are in, and it’s time to tell the family. Tap Send the family the link. See Send the family the link.

You decided some things in private, and nobody has been told yet. Tap Review and share to look them over and tell everyone at once. See Telling the family.

Everyone has answered these, or the time to answer is up. Tap the button, like “Decide 2 things”, to go to Decide.

A helper also sees a card of their own here. See If you’re helping.

The family is looking. The card says until when, and who hasn’t looked yet.

Tap Remind the family to send the link again with a short reminder. Or tap Decide now instead to decide before everyone has answered.

Photos you just took are still on their way in. They show once they’re in.

If a photo didn’t go up, Home says so first, whatever else there is to do: tap Try again.

Everything left is kept open for later, with Keep for now. Tap See what’s still open to look at it.

You’re done, for now. Tap See who’s taking what for the list of what is going to whom. Add more whenever you like.

A few rows are always there: Add more things, Send the family the link, Family and helpers, Who has answered and House settings. Tap one to open it.
